In level 1, we focus on teaching the basic navigation on Ableton Live, and how to use it to compose original music. Our second-level course concentrates on expanding and refining your sonic vocabulary, and finding your original sound. Topics include synthesis, sound design, EQ and understanding the frequency spectrum, compression, gain staging, and how to get your music ready to send to labels. Students will leave with a deep understanding of ways to write original sounding music at a professional level .

Class runs Thursdays 7-9pm. Students may come as early as 6pm for any homework related questions and help.

Who Should Take This Course?

This class is designed for those that have completed our level 1 course. It has a strong focus on synthesis, mixdown and sound design techniques.

Class Time

Class runs Thursdays from 7-9pm

Office Hours 6-7pm

Class runs for 2 hours once a week for a total of 16 hours class time.
