Launched in 2015, the Night Vision Music Academy is Edmonton’s PREMIERE electronic music production and DJ school.
Located on Jasper Ave in downtown Edmonton, Alberta, NVMA features weekly night classes, weekend workshops, 1-on-1 mentorship, private studios and a community of professional and aspiring producers and DJs. Our weekly music courses were developed to be everything a new artist needs to get a strong start and are taught by professionally trained and experienced instructors.

With personalized instruction, you can easily overcome your most difficult obstacles when it comes to music and cut your learning time in half — or more.
But how do you get personalized instruction like this without it getting expensive?
Music certificates and degrees can range from $7,218 to $27,352 or more (not including books or other institutional fees). That’s pretty steep for most people who just want to get good at making music.
So what about online courses?
Those can be a cheaper option, but they lack the personalization you get from in-person mentorship. Feedback from the instructor is likely to be scarce or non-existent (or left to the other students in a forum), and accountability is lacking — the weight is left on your shoulders alone to be consistent with your practice.
